The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) is partnering with the Appalachian Center for Economic Networks (ACEnet) in the development and implementation of Art of Ohio.com.  OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
 
Created in 1965, the Ohio Arts Council fosters and encourages the development of the arts and assists the preservation of Ohio's cultural heritage.
 
The Ohio Arts Council is committed to the economic, educational and cultural development of the state. The Council believes the arts should be shared by the people of Ohio and arise from public, individual and organizational efforts. The OAC supports and encourages these efforts and has developed the Appalachian Artist Directory.
